Hawkins Records Contacts

This is a private reference site, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, arrange a release, post bond, or retrieve official booking records. Contact the office that holds the record for current answers.

County Booking and Custody

For Hawkins County booking, custody, or the public-records contact, begin with the Sheriff’s Office. The research did not verify public counter hours, an online roster, or a public booking-photo feed, so call before visiting or sending a physical request.

Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office
117 Justice Center Drive, Suite 1304
Rogersville, TN 37857
Phone: (423) 272-4848
Records and office hours: ask the Sheriff’s Office when calling.

The Hawkins County Detention Center is associated with 117 Justice Center Drive. Ask for the public-records custodian, a current roster URL if one has been established, the booking-photo policy, and the format for a narrow Tennessee Public Records Act request.

Which Office Holds What

Use the record type to choose the next contact. A city police department may have an incident or arrest report. The Sheriff or detention custodian is the county booking path. The court clerk is the path for later proceedings and disposition.

  • For a county booking record or photo policy, start with the Sheriff’s Office and use the county booking-record path.
  • For a municipal arrest report, contact Church Hill, Mount Carmel, or Rogersville Police, depending on the arresting agency.
  • For Circuit, Criminal, Juvenile, General Sessions, or Child Support court files, contact the Hawkins County Circuit Court Clerk.
  • For CAD, dispatch audio, or incident context, use Hawkins County 911, which is not a booking-photo source.
  • For a state-custody or supervision record, use the TDOC FOIL search, not the county booking route.

The Church Hill office is listed at 150 South Central, Church Hill, with (423) 357-4441. State and Federal Status

The Tennessee Department of Correction, VINELink, the Bureau of Prisons, and the ICE locator serve different systems from Hawkins County detention. The Tennessee Victim Services route explains notification tools. Federal custody can be checked through the BOP locator; immigration detention uses the ICE locator. These systems do not replace a county booking request.
